The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. As the Deputy Manager, you will be an inspiring leader who can motivate a team and provide high-quality care for the children in our home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home.
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring a high level of professional practice.
  • Ensure the home meets Ofsted and safeguarding standards, promoting a child-centred approach.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Maintain and monitor records, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) essential.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in a similar Deputy Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • A Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
