We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people aged 8–18 within a residential care setting. Key Responsibilities
- The Support Worker will provide a safe, stable, and caring home environment.
- Support young people with daily routines, including school, meals, and activities.
- Promote emotional well-being, independence, and life skills.
- Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
- Support recreational, social, and educational activities (including evenings and weekends).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs in line with regulatory requirements.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
- Support health needs, including attending appointments and administering care (with training).
Additional Duties
- Participate in training, supervision, and performance reviews.
- Support educational development, including basic numeracy and literacy.
- Assist with household tasks such as cooking and maintaining a clean environment.
- The Support Worker will ensure health & safety standards are met at all times.
- Provide support across services where required.
