Are you passionate about helping and supporting young people grow, with a solid background of leading and inspiring staff in residential homes for teenagers and young adults? Our client is an established Children's care provider committed to safe and supportive homes for the children in their care. Their mission is to empower each child to reach their full potential by fostering healing, growth, and learning through a trauma-informed approach and personalised care. Our client is currently going through a planned period of growth and is recruiting for a motivational, experienced Deputy Manager to join their team in Kent.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in managing a range of quality services for young people and promote partnership with staff, local agencies and families.
  • Ensure compliance with Safeguarding Procedures, Health and Safety Regulations, and the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective leadership, maximise staff effectiveness through motivation and development, set and review targets, and deploy staff resources.
  • Manage team development and communication, ensure effective information flow, identify and meet staff training and development needs, and promote Equality and Diversity policies.
  • In conjunction with the Registered Manager, be responsible for all young people and staff within the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

What we’re looking for

  • Hold at minimum a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare and be committed to working towards the Level 5.
  • Successful background as a Deputy Manager within a home rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
  • Able to contribute as part of the management team in the development and management of the home.
  • Possess the Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare.
  • Have a proven track record as a Registered Manager of a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ graded Children’s Home and meet the abilities, values, and skills needed to thrive in this role.
