The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. As the Deputy Manager, you will be an inspiring leader who can motivate a team and provide high-quality care for the children in our home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home.
- Support, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring a high level of professional practice.
- Ensure the home meets Ofsted and safeguarding standards, promoting a child-centred approach.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain and monitor records, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) essential.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.
- At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in a similar Deputy Manager role.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
