Location: Halesowen, Birmingham

Are you an experienced leader passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? My client provides high-quality supported living for young people aged 16-18 and 18+, offering 24/7 trauma-informed support in a safe and empowering environment. They are seeking a Registered Manager to lead their service, drive quality, and ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people they support.

Main Duties

  • Manage, ensure compliance with, and ensure the quality assurance of the properties, which consist of 3 units for 16-18-year-olds and 5 self-contained flats for 18+ care leavers.
  • Lead a dedicated staff team, ensure the service meets regulatory standards, and foster a culture of empowerment and independence for young people.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide inspirational leadership to a skilled team.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.
  • Oversee personalised support plans that build life skills, resilience, and independence.
  • Develop strong partnerships with commissioners, local authorities, and external agencies.
  • Deliver outcome-focused support through placement reviews and transparent reporting.
  • Maintain service quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all units.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in supported living, residential, or semi-independent settings for young people.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to manage, train, and develop staff teams.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and co-production with young people.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete within 18 months).
  • Experience supporting young people leaving care, including tenancy preparation and transition planning.
  • Strong partnership-building skills with commissioners and external services.
