We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Plaster Technician to work within a busy Trauma Orthopaedic setting. The Role:
- You will work closely with Orthopaedic Consultants, Nurses and the wider MDT to provide expert plaster application and removal services, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application, adjustment and removal of plaster casts and splints
- Assisting in fracture clinics and minor injury settings
- Advising patients on cast care and aftercare instructions
- Maintaining clinical standards and infection control protocols
- Supporting the wider team to ensure efficient clinic flow
About You:
- Proven experience as a Plaster Technician within a clinical setting
- BOA Casting Certificate (or equivalent) desirable
- Strong understanding of fracture management and immobilisation techniques
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Calm under pressure with strong organisational ability
