We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in the Hillingdon area. About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language Needs
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Develop and implement EHCP targets and support plans
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEN pupils preferred
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
