Job Description

MUST hold a UK Drivers Licence and have access to a vehicle.

The Social Work Assistant / Family Support Worker supports qualified social workers in delivering services to children, families, and vulnerable adults. This role involves direct work with families to improve wellbeing, promote safety, and help them access appropriate services. The role is key in providing practical support, building trust with service users, and helping families develop resilience and independence.

Experience working with children, families, or vulnerable individuals.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.

Work directly with children, young people, and families in their homes and communities.

Assist in implementing care and support plans created by social workers.

Monitor and record the progress of individuals and families, reporting concerns as needed.
