We're now offering for an experienced domestic plumber to bring their skills into the marine world and become a marine system installer - with on-the-job training and support.
OpportunityWe're looking for a skilled and motivated plumber with a strong background in domestic or commercial plumbing, who is eager to learn how to apply their expertise in a marine environment. Working alongside experienced marine engineers and fabricators, you'll help fit out onboard systems including:
- Fresh water systems
- Waste water and black/grey water systems
- Heating, cooling and ventilation setups
- Pump and piping installations for various marine applications
- Install, test and maintain plumbing-related systems onboard vessels
- Work with marine-specific materials, fittings and components
- Troubleshoot issues during builds, refits and commissioning
- Collaborate closely with other trades and engineering teams on-site
- Qualified Plumber (NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Experienced in pipework installation, fault finding and system testing
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
- Willingness to learn and adapt to marine systems and standards
- A positive attitude and ability to work within a team
