An opportunity has arisen for you to join our highly focused, dedicated staff in the role of Teacher of Maths. Teaching across key stages 3,4 and 5 we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can deliver innovative and creative lessons which challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally during their time at the academy. The ability to also be able to teach some lessons of Science would be preferable., Have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of students by exemplifying and promoting dedication to excellence

Have high expectations of themselves and the ability to instil these in staff and students alike

Be an excellent teacher and a committed team player

Be invested in enabling student progress, whilst also developing the students holistically

Deliver innovative and creative lessons which engage and challenge students to achieve their full potential

Essential

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Experience of delivering engaging and effective lessons in a secondary school setting
  • Clarity of purpose and student-centred vision
  • Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour

Desirable

  • Evidence of contributing to writing and implementing relevant plans and resources
  • Experience of teaching A level

Retford Oaks Academy is a large secondary academy for students aged 11-18 years. Our rapidly increasing numbers mean that we now have over 1100 students studying with us.
