We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Adult Nurse to join our team at Diverse Abilities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and person‑centred care for adults with complex needs and disabilities. You will support the delivery of safe, person‑centred services, supervise and mentor staff, and ensure compliance with all relevant clinical, safeguarding and regulatory standards. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary internal and external professionals to promote positive outcomes and continuous service improvements across the charity.

  • Deliver high‑quality clinical care to adults with complex care needs
  • Maintain clinical competency and act as a visible clinical role model
  • Provide clinical oversight and cover across services as needed
  • Support transition and supported living services
  • Respond to clinical changes, safeguarding concerns and emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, internal policies and best practice
  • Assess clinical competencies for staff to carry out a variety of clinical procedures as required
  • Promote safeguarding, infection control and high clinical standards

Current professional registration (e.g. Registered Adult Nurse) is required along with evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to best practice. Recent senior‑level experience in an acute clinical setting is essential, as well as experience working with adults and/or children with disabilities. Excellent communication, organisation and decision‑making skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across services. A UK Manual driving licence with business insurance and use of own vehicle is also required.

Desirable (or willingness to develop):

  • Experience in training delivery
  • Experience leading clinical or practice development
