We are seeking an Events Executive to help deliver our packed calendar of fundraising events and build on the donor journey with our fundraisers. Our events range from intimate evenings, Gala Balls, corporate hospitality, and children’s events. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as liaising with suppliers, updating database systems, working to a tight budget, and more - as well as delivering on the event itself as part of a small but mighty team. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a difference in their local community by helping raise funds for children and adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide on the ground event management support throughout events taking place, including any set up and pack down.
  • Management of participant and stakeholder information with the CRM database.
  • Ensuring events are run within a tight budget to maximise funds raised.
  • Respond to and field all incoming event enquiries and coordinate all bookings/registrations and fundraising pages when required.
  • Ensure all activities at and around events comply with Fundraising Regulations and Gambling Rules and Regulations where applicable.
  • Maintain internal relationships with staff and volunteers within the fundraising team and within other parts of Diverse Abilities.
  • Be an excellent ambassador for Diverse Abilities at all times.

What are we looking for?

  • Effective team work skills and own initiative.
  • Comfort with managing relationships at all levels.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required by the role.
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail.
  • UK Driving License with a vehicle insured for business use is required.
  • IT skills in MS Office and CRM databases.
  • Experience in fundraising or third sector is desirable, but not required.
