Diveintar Talent Solution, a maritime recruitment agency, is searching for its customer, a European leader group in water treatment and surface disinfection by UV, Ozone, salt electrolysis & AOP, a Service Engineer M/F. The Service Engineer M/F is responsible for the offsite service, maintenance and customer support activities that take place. While in the factory, they will also be involved in the assembly and testing of the products manufactured by our customer to meet the company’s order book and stock requirements. This is a diverse role which involves visiting sites, both in the UK and internationally, where the company’s products are located to complete commissioning, servicing and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting units supplied by the company at client’s premises.
  • Preparing and completing Site Visit Reports and Checklists.
  • Testing and assembly of all ranges of equipment produced and supplied by the company when in the factory.
  • Maintain written records for the site visits.
  • Preparation, maintenance and issuing documentation.
  • Participating in the unloading and checking of goods received.
  • Packing and loading of goods for dispatch when required.
  • Visiting suppliers/customers’ premises to uplift materials or deliver goods using company supplied transport.
  • Advising Material Controller on stock/material shortages when applicable.
  • Liaising and assisting the Production and Engineering departments with technical issues.
  • Providing technical support for customers.
  • Providing product training.
  • Supporting the sales department with any technical queries.
  • Supporting after sales with any technical issues.

Permanent contract, based in Oxford (UK). Salary: £38/£39 + bonus. The Service Engineer will be given in-house training on all products which will include initial involvement in equipment build and test and site visits. A company van will be supplied and it is a requirement to have a full car driving license. As the clients' sites are spread across the UK, the Service Engineer will be away from home most weeks, Monday to Friday (full expenses are paid to cover all costs when away from home).

Key Skills:

  • Ability to work safely, including during lone working.
  • Competent in reading electrical control panel drawings and troubleshooting circuits.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems, PLCs, and inverters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general IT skills.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, fast learner, and effective team worker.
  • Customer-facing confidence, able to represent the company professionally.
  • Flexibility to travel (UK & internationally) and work extended hours when required.

Desirables:

  • Previous experience with UV or Ozone Systems.
  • Experience with Water Treatment machinery or Steam Plant Systems.
  • Experience in planning and coordination of workloads.
  • Understanding of upselling techniques.
