An exciting new PART TIME permanent position (21 hours per week) is available for a Youth Opportunities Officer for this well established, independent charity based in Redhill. Excellent salary, future prospects and great benefits including PRO RATA 6.6 weeks holidays (increases with service), free gym and discounted childcare.

Our clients mission is to provide opportunities for people to develop to their full potential, with a focus on children and young people and those who are vulnerable, have a disability or face disadvantage. We are recruiting for a Youth Opportunities Officer to join our Housing team.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating a resident engagement programme designed for inactive young people, leading them on a bespoke journey towards employment, volunteering, education, and training. The role will help the team deliver a safe, supportive, and person-centred service for young people and vulnerable adults accessing East Surrey's housing.

This role requires someone with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 standard qualification or equivalent in Housing, Social Work, or Youth Work (or is willing to complete such a qualification alongside their job role within the next twelve months).

Key Responsibilities:
  • To promote, co-ordinate and deliver the resident journey programme to residents of our East Surrey Housing Services.
