Our client is a leading and global supplier of Ingredients for the food, beverage and nutrition industries and is seeking an experienced Production Planner for their site in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning of all orders into their Production and Planning schedules to ensure the customers deadlines are met to the best ability. Will also oversee all stock control tasks relayed to Production Planning. Will communicate effectively with departments such as Customer Support, Quality and Production to help ensure schedule adherence and help with completion of objectives. The day to day duties will be: * Planning all customer orders in most efficient way to maximise production capacity * Oversee all other Administration tasks related to Production Planning, raising batch documents, booking on etc. * Raw Material allocation following company procedures * Working closely with Production to ensure efficient stock rotation * Liaise with relevant departments to ensure raw materials arrive and can be sampled in necessary time-scales * Daily planning of production/packing programs using N1 report in a timely manner from order date. * Overseeing allocation or document queries and authorising batch changes from Production/Warehouse * Participation and support in projects as and when required. * Minimizing plan changes wherever possible investigate system y working closely with Production Team leaders to match workload with resource. * Overseeing urgent orders to ensure the customers needs are met to the best of ability * Responsible for all stock rotation and movement for prep room/Warehouse to improve efficiency * Investigate system errors and issues to provide effective and timely solutions * Work on reducing system errors and issues where possible * Movement of goods between external warehouse and the site * Liaising with administrator on scheduling requirements * Cycle counting Must have the ability to work at a fast pace but also accurately. Also the ability to make data decisions whilst looking at the larger picture. A team player who can work on their own initiative and be able to meet targets and deadlines.
