Our client are a niche ‘Hi-Val Freight Forwarder based in Sunbury-on-Thames and are looking for a Import Clerk to join the current Import team, to assist with the smooth running of the department. Working 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday, including a one hour break each day. The role of Import Clerk will involve, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Monitor Pre-Alerts from foreign agents and raise import files. Create records in the ERTS system ready for clearance. Handling files from start to finish. Ensure all relevant and legal documentation is in place for the Customs Clearance. Complete and check customs entries, checking the CPC to be used after receiving instructions from the client. Ensure the client file is completed with the release information before delivery is organised. Support management with deliveries in the transport department taking into consideration, size, value location and urgency of delivery. Support management to ensure that we are meeting the client’s needs. Represent the company by demonstrating high levels of customer service and a professional attitude at all times.
