Due to expansion, an exciting new position is available with this small friendly Global Logistics Provider, located in Ashford, Surrey TW15 OR at their Essex facility, CM8. The opportunity is for an Inside Sales Freight Co-ordinator and the successful candidate should have a freight, shipping or logistics industry background, with good commercial awareness, excellent English communication skills (both verbal & written), must be confident with Word/Excel, database management knowledge and good numeracy & literacy ability. Teamwork is an essential part of the role as you will be working alongside ops and sales. Post probation, there will be a hybrid option of 1 or 2 days WFH, once training is completed.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales colleague to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business from both inbound leads and re-engaging lapsed accounts. The ideal candidate will have inside sales or ops experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or transport services, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Make outbound calls to potential and existing clients to promote freight services (air, sea, road, courier). Re-engage dormant or lapsed customers, focusing on win-back opportunities. Provide quotations via ops teams and/or rate requests, and follow-ups to secure bookings.
- Sales Support & Administration: Update customer records, and track activity. Collaborate with operations/customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Performance & Reporting: Work towards individual sales targets (calls, meetings booked, new accounts opened, revenue).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to build rapport and convert cold leads into active opportunities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Commercial awareness of freight forwarding and logistics services
Experience & Qualifications
Prior experience in inside sales, telesales, or logistics is preferred.
