Our client is a well known and respected Shipping Line based in Central London and is seeking an experienced Import Transport Coordinator. You will be working as part of a small team within a larger Deep Sea department and the post can be demanding but satisfying with a lot of immediate deadlines and customer requirements.
The main duties include:
- Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross Trades business
- Issuing Quotes and follow ups made for Containers, Break Bulk (Commodity Trades, Timber FOT rates) and RoRo.
- Process bookings via telephone and e-mail, from UK customers/Traders and Local Line POL Agents
- Confirm booking details back to the customer, informing them of special requirements or restrictions, ensuring Credit worthiness.
- Entering Bills of Lading details and adding where needed manifests details into the company's bespoke system
- Dealing with COD, Switch Bills, Indemnities for cargo release.
- Processing and adding all transport data for container deliveries.
- Processing PIN and Badge releases in Destin8
- Client liaison and liaising with Port and Port offices.
Must have good verbal, written, communication and organisation skills. Also to be computer literate, presentable, adaptable and outgoing, with a vibrant and friendly personality. Must also be able to remain calm under pressure.
