Purpose of Role: We're seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Electrician to join our Hard FM and Reactive team on the TfL Surface Transport contract.
We provide a comprehensive planned, preventative, and responsive repairs service to ensure TfL's facilities are maintained to an excellent standard. As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive electrical maintenance across 250 TfL sites, with a primary focus on South and Central London. Your duties will include:
- Lighting maintenance (ballast/lamp changes)
- Fitting repairs
- Emergency light testing
- Distribution board testing
- General fabric and plumbing repairs as needed
Responsibilities for the Commercial Maintenance Electrician:
- Perform electrical planned and reactive maintenance
- Complete building fabric, minor mechanical, and basic plumbing repairs
- Procure materials required for minor works
- Diagnose electrical faults
- Carry out minor installation work
- Supervise specialist sub-contractors when necessary
- Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in a similar electrical maintenance role, ideally mobile
- C&G Parts 1&2 in Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3
- 18th Edition certification
- City & Guilds Test & Inspection 2391 - (DESIRABLE)
- PASMA or IPAF certification (DESIRABLE)
- Experience using a handheld device (PDA)
- Full UK Driver's License (no more than 6 points)
