Location: Central & South London
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours, Monday to Friday
Salary & Benefits: £38,000 – £42,000 before overtime or bonuses. Company car, Fuel Card, 26 days holiday + 10 days bank holidays + chance to buy more, generous pension, health assurance and Rewards Programme.

Purpose of Role:
We\’re seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Electrician to join our Hard FM and Reactive team on the TfL Surface Transport contract.

Commercial Maintenance Electrician Job Description:
We provide a comprehensive planned, preventative, and responsive repairs service to ensure TfL’s facilities are maintained to an excellent standard. As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive electrical maintenance across 250 TfL sites, with a primary focus on South and Central London. Your duties will include lighting maintenance (ballast/lamp changes), fitting repairs, emergency light testing, distribution board testing, and more. Additionally, as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you\’ll perform general fabric and plumbing repairs as needed.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Maintenance Electrician:

  1. Perform electrical planned and reactive maintenance
  2. Complete building fabric, minor mechanical, and basic plumbing repairs
  3. Procure materials required for minor works
  4. Diagnose electrical faults
  5. Carry out minor installation work
  6. Supervise specialist sub-contractors when necessary
  7. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
  8. Adhere to the company\’s Health and Safety policy

Commercial Maintenance Electrician Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  1. Experience in a similar electrical maintenance role, ideally mobile
  2. C&G Parts 1&2 in Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3
  3. 18th Edition certification
  4. City & Guilds Test & Inspection 2391 – (DESIRABLE)
  5. PASMA or IPAF certification (DESIRABLE)
  6. Experience using a handheld device (PDA)
  7. Full UK Driver\’s License (no more than 6 points)
