Overview
Street Lighting Electricians x3
Location: Northampton
Salary: Β£42000 plus company van, 25 days holiday, pension, health assurance, overtime regularly available, and chances for progression within the company!
We are currently seeking three Street Lighting Electricians to join our Highways Infrastructure client in the Northampton area.
Responsibilities
- SWA electrical terminations into lighting columns and feeder pillars
- Installation of secondary isolators into lighting columns
- Wiring and installing lanterns
- Testing and inspecting street furniture and completing test certificates
- Conducting electrical surveys
- Cable pulling and cable jointing
- Assisting with operational logistics including driving vehicles
- Liaising with clients and colleagues
- Carrying out risk assessments prior to starting work
- Ensuring all installations are completed to the correct standard, on time, and within budget
- Completing relevant documentation and raising on-site issues
- Wearing correct PPE at all times
- Keeping vehicle clean and tidy
Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding role
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience as an electrical operative, preferably with street furniture
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to work nights and occasionally stay away from home
- Committed to high standards of health and safety
Qualifications
- Valid CSCS or CPCS and ECS cards
- G39 certification
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- Inspection and testing qualification
- IPAF certification
