We are currently seeking a Store Operative to join our Highway Engineering clients. The role will be based near East Horndon and comes with a salary of Β£30,000.
Responsibilities for Store Operative:
- Load/unload vehicles collecting materials from the yard, ensuring materials match relevant documentation.
- Ensure all material movement documents are filed and movements recorded in stock control software.
- Perform periodic stock counts as required.
- Record issue and receipt of plant in the yard and pass information to the Plant team.
- Dispose of yard waste according to agreed policy.
- Keep all materials safe and in good condition.
- Work proactively with other staff members to support company objectives.
- Report high or low stock levels to the Procurement team.
Requirements for Store Operative:
- Conscientious worker capable of delivering quality work with minimal supervision.
- Proactively helpful to all authorized yard visitors.
- Strong Health, Safety, and Environmental consciousness.
- Adequate physical fitness for the role.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Capable of making sound decisions.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Meticulous and thorough.
- Willing to work occasional Saturdays and at other stock locations.
- Telehandler and forklift operator certificates are desirable.
- Full UK drivers licence is required.
