We are currently seeing a Civils Supervisor to join our Highways Maintenance clients. The role will be field based in Cambridge covering the Midlands and comes with a salary of £45,000
Responsibilities For Civils Supervisor
- Conduct pre-site surveys and risk assessments, reporting findings or required changes.
- Clarify permit needs and ensure timely submission to avoid delays.
- Engage with stakeholdersincluding clients and the publicprior to project commencement.
- Review plans and ensure required documentation (e.g., utility stats, drawings) is present.
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities, ensuring teams are adequately resourced and qualified.
- Track and report deviations from plans, regardless of cost implications.
- Submit timely feedback and documentation for DFEs to support client billing.
- Maintain high standards to avoid FPNs/defects; resolve any issues with stakeholders.
- Arrange timely procurement of plant and materials to support project schedules.
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inspections, and CMS checks routinely.
- Implement and enforce the Geosight photo documentation process.
- Enforce H&S protocols including use of PPE and compliance with HSG47.
- Conduct weekly inspections of tools and equipment; ensure safety and calibration certificates are up to date.
Requirements for Civils Supervisor
- Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills

- Competent in IT systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet/email use)
