We’re looking for an experienced freelance podcast editor to edit long-form, multi-camera interview podcasts and turn them into high-performing content across YouTube, Instagram Reels and TikTok. This role is best suited to an editor who already works in podcasts and understands how to cut long-form conversations into compelling full episodes, trailers and short-form clips that drive retention, engagement and views.

The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for editing 60–120 minute raw, multi-camera podcast footage into:
  • Full-length YouTube episodes
  • A main trailer per episode
  • Multiple short-form clips (15–90 seconds) for Instagram Reels & TikTok
  • 1-2x podcasts per month

You should be confident identifying strong hooks, shaping viral moments and tailoring edits for each platform’s audience and algorithm.

Skills & Experience

  • Expert in multi-camera podcast editing
  • Proven experience editing engaging trailers and short-form clips with on-screen captions that drive views and engagement
  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling and audience retention
  • Skilled in cutting specific questions/answers into high-performing short-form content
  • Strong audio editing skills (cleanup, levelling, EQ, compression)
  • Up to date with on-trend formats, sounds, software and platform updates
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality edits on tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and incorporating feedback
  • An existing portfolio that includes podcast editing work
  • UK-based editor
