Aureos are hiring for a HSQE Advisor to join our team based in Muir of Ord.

The role will involve the provision of competent health, safety, quality (assurance) and site environmental advice.

Ensuring inspections and guidance for the site staff and management team is carried out.

Providing challenge where required and not walking by.

Promotion of safe equipment, standards and method of working.

Showing the behaviours expected and leading by example each and every time.

  • Primary Tasks and Duties
  • Where unsafe working is identified, stop the works, agree and document suitable and safe solution and re-brief.
  • Assisting the operational team with reviewing of CDM documentation.
  • Assurance of process and working methods.
  • Take an active role in developing, maintaining and promoting a positive HSQE culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with Aureos standards and client requirements.
  • Undertaking task analysis of risk assessment and method statements / Task briefings.
  • Provide support and advice for staff to aid and promote sustainable practices.
  • Ensure all requirements and findings are closed within the required timescales.
  • Promote the closure of NCR’s and OFI’s within the project.
  • Secondary Tasks and Duties
  • Encourage quality contributions and ensure timely close out and feedback is actioned, promote lessons learnt and good practice sharing.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with site teams, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Promotion of health and wellbeing support, and directing staff where required.
  • Prepare and deliver workforce (including subcontractors) engagement (tool box talks, awareness sessions).
  • Lead on Level 1 investigations.
  • Proactively improve in reducing risk through the planning process.

Qualifications and Training

  • Essential NEBOSH.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Desirable CSCS.
  • Desirable EUSR PTS.
  • Knowledge and Experience of working methods.
  • Industrial knowledge across the infrastructure Services areas of Business.
  • Basics of management systems.
  • Site inspections and risk assessment experience.
  • Site experience.
  • Reviewing CDM and industry Sustainability and carbon capture.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent listening behaviours.

  • Ability to work weekends when required.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft 365, and HSQE specific systems.
