The Account Executive role at Distinctive is a fast-growing grocery sourcing business, supplying British retailers with differentiated products that customers truly value. The UK grocery market has been undergoing a massive transformation, and Distinctive is on a mission to help retailers and brands grow faster throughout this process. Managed by a team of highly experienced ex-retailers, we aim to transform the way products reach the right customers. We deliver ambient and chilled, food and non-food products to our UK retail customers. We are expanding rapidly and are constantly looking for the right people to join our team.

The Account Executive will play a fundamental role in the growth of Distinctive. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and shape a role and a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage product offers.
  • Work closely with our clients to improve sales performance and service.
  • Monitor performance metrics to measure against financial goals.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends.
  • Prepare and lead meetings with suppliers and customers.

In order to succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good commercial acumen and desire to pursue a commercial career.
  • A background in grocery retail or consumer goods and an understanding of basic concepts in this sector.
  • Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good team player willing to roll up their sleeves.

Location: Our office is based in Lichfield, and the ideal candidate will be Midlands based. Work is hybrid, and some travel is necessary, so a UK driving license is required.
