About the Role


Distinction Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time within a primary school in Malvern, Worcestershire.


The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them access learning, develop confidence and make progress.


As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEND team to provide appropriate support to pupils. This may include one-to-one support, small-group interventions and supporting children within the classroom.


The successful Teaching Assistant will need to be patient, adaptable and able to build positive and trusting relationships with children.


What We Need



  • Have previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND

  • Are patient, caring and confident in adapting your approach to individual needs

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding

  • Are reliable and available to work full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Are committed to helping children achieve their potential

  • Previous experience within a primary school would be advantageous, although applications are also welcomed from candidates with relevant SEND or child-support experience.
