Join a private equity-backed software business based in North Leicestershire (with occasional travel to London) as a Senior Finance Business Partner Net Working Capital.
This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to blend technical expertise with strategic storytelling, working closely with senior leaders to drive business success.
Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 + Bonus + Equity Options + Share Scheme
Flexibility: Highly flexible hybrid working
In a subscription-based business, cash flow and working capital are critical. This isn’t just about understanding numbers—it’s about uncovering the ‘why’ behind them. Think…Why are trade debtors increasing, and what’s the solution?
You’ll be at the forefront of high-level discussions, working with the CFO, CEO, board members, and private equity sponsors. The focus will be on cash flow, debt, and working capital—delivering actionable insights, not just spreadsheets.
This is about taking analysis and turning it into a compelling story. It’s strategic financial modelling without needing to be an Excel wizard—more about interpreting the data, understanding the outputs, and influencing key decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the financial model for balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, integrating re-forecast cycles.
- Deliver monthly net working capital and cash flow analysis, developing and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Identify risks related to liquidity and inefficiencies in working capital, proposing and implementing improvement plans.
- Recommend and lead process improvements to optimise working capital.
About You
- A qualified accountant with expertise in cash flow modelling, working capital, and debt management.
- Commercial Finance or FP&A background, with a strong grasp of capital management and net working capital.
- Experience working with boards, investors, or sponsors, presenting insightful narratives that shape strategy.
- Adept at turning analysis into actionable recommendations—building the story behind the numbers.
- Comfortable with high-level exposure and discussions, with no P&L responsibility required.
What’s In It for You?
- Direct access to the CFO, CEO, and board, giving you high-level influence and visibility.
- The chance to collaborate on financing initiatives and work closely with private equity sponsors and major lenders.
