Job details

Job description

If you enjoy being close to the operation, understanding what really drives performance, and helping non-finance teams make better decisions, this role should feel like a good fit.

This is a true Finance Business Partner role. You won’t be sat behind spreadsheets or tied up in routine processing. Instead, you’ll be embedded in the site, working alongside operational leaders to explain performance, challenge thinking, and support better day-to-day decisions.

With a well-established transactional finance team already in place, the focus here is on insight, influence, and adding value rather than chasing numbers.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll be part of an on-site finance team and will shortly be based out of a new modern Mansfield office as the business continues to grow.

The role

This is a commercially focused Finance Business Partner role, centred on insight, performance and decision support rather than day-to-day processing.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll focus on understanding business performance, explaining the numbers behind it, and supporting operational stakeholders with clear, practical insight.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Monthly business performance reporting
  • Rolling forecasting and support of budgeting processes
  • KPI and variance analysis for senior management reporting
  • Partnering with budget holders to explain performance drivers
  • Cashflow, working capital and capex forecasting
  • Improving and standardising reporting and analysis across the business

The environment

  • Part of a well-established on-site finance function
  • Regular interaction with operational and site leadership
  • Suited to someone comfortable being visible and involved in the day-to-day running of the business
  • Hybrid working in place, typically 3 days per week on site

About you

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with FP&A / commercial finance experience
  • Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and driving performance through insight
  • Able to connect the dots across complex data sets and turn numbers into narratives

Package

  • Salary around £75,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits

If you’re commercially minded, love variety, and want to have real influence in a high-growth business – this is the kind of place where you’ll thrive.
