Location: London | Hybrid working model

A growing and highly respected accountancy practice is seeking an ambitious Audit Associate to join its dynamic Financial Services team in London. This opportunity offers a strong foundation in audit with clear progression, hands-on training, and an inclusive environment where people come first.

The Role
This position is ideal for an individual who is currently studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualification and is looking to build a long-term career in audit. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and supervisors, supporting audits across a wide range of financial services clients. Responsibilities will include assisting on larger audits as well as leading smaller engagements from planning through to finalisation.

You’ll gain exposure to varied assignments including risk-based audit testing, reviewing internal systems and controls, preparing financial statements, and drafting management letters. You’ll also begin to supervise junior team members and have the opportunity to provide input on ways to improve clients’ accounting processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support audits from start to finish using a risk-based audit approach

Take ownership of smaller audits, preparing financial statements and audit documentation

Assist senior team members on complex engagements and contribute to planning discussions

Supervise junior colleagues and review their work as needed

Liaise directly with clients to gather information and communicate findings

Provide insightful suggestions to improve clients’ internal controls and systems

Travel to client sites when required (occasional overnight stays may apply)

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Strong academic background and currently studying towards ACA or ACCA

Prior experience assisting on audit assignments (including planning, fieldwork, or completion)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

Organised, deadline-focused, and adaptable to fast-paced environments

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and audit/accounting software

Familiarity with laws and regulations relevant to audit and financial reporting
