The Opportunity

I am supporting one of my long-standing clients with the recruitment of an experienced

Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy, fast-paced Accounts Payable environment and wants to make an immediate impact.

Joining an established and supportive finance team, you will work alongside an experienced Accounts Payable colleague, helping to reduce an existing backlog whilst ensuring day-to-day invoice processing continues smoothly.

If you are someone who enjoys rolling your sleeves up, getting stuck in and adding value from day 1, this could be an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end Accounts Payable processing.
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices.
  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices.
  • Resolving supplier queries.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Supporting BACS payment runs.
  • Assisting with month-end Accounts Payable activities.
  • Helping reduce an existing backlog whilst maintaining BAU processing.
  • Supporting the wider finance team where required.

About You

You will ideally have

  • Previous end-to-end Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience working within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
