A well established global manufacturing group is looking to add a Senior Tax Manager to its UK tax team.

Fully remote, with occasional visits to the office in Yorkshire.

The role You'll take ownership of UK corporation tax compliance, making sure returns are prepared and submitted accurately and on time, and acting as the main point of contact for anything technical that lands on the desk.

There's a strong advisory element too.

You'll be leading on innovation and intellectual property tax reliefs, helping the business identify and maximise the value available, and this is one of the more interesting parts of the role if you enjoy the advisory side as much as compliance.

You'll also get involved in broader tax planning, looking for opportunities to structure things more efficiently and spotting savings before they become missed opportunities.

Risk and governance sit with you too.

You'll own the tax risk register and keep the business aligned with its Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence obligations, working closely with finance and legal colleagues to keep everything joined up.

On reporting, you'll manage the tax accounting process for statutory accounts and group reporting, so accurate provisions and deferred tax numbers that stand up to audit scrutiny.

You'll be the main point of contact for external advisers and HMRC, managing enquiries and disputes as they come in, and there's genuine scope to grow this role further, potentially picking up tax matters across other European territories as the business continues to expand your remit.

What they're looking for ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT qualified, with a solid few years under your belt in UK corporate tax, ideally gained in house within a large business or in a Big Four environment.

Strong technical grounding in UK tax legislation, with some exposure to tax accounting under US or UK GAAP.

International tax exposure is a bonus rather than essential.

You'll need to be a confident communicator who can take something technical and make it land with people who aren't tax specialists, plus the ability to juggle multiple pieces of work at once without dropping the ball.

Some people management or mentoring experience would help, since part of this role involves supporting non tax finance colleagues.

Salary up to £90,000
Car allowance
Bonus
Fully remote, with occasional travel.
