I'm working with a growing business in Nottingham looking to recruit an Accountant to join a lean finance team and work closely with the CFO. This is a broad, hands-on role that would suit someone actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA who has built a good grounding in finance and is now looking for more exposure, responsibility and progression.
You'll get involved in:
- Assisting with month-end accounting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
- Supporting monthly reporting and board pack preparation
- Cash and working capital
- Debt collection and wider finance processes
- Supporting different areas of the business
- Building a stronger commercial understanding of performance
The role is designed to develop over time. You'll initially learn the core finance processes before gradually taking on more responsibility and becoming a key support to the CFO. They're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and comfortable speaking to people outside of finance. You don't need to be the finished article, but you do need the ambition to learn and progress.
Package: £35,000 - £40,000 plus bonus, Pension plus wider benefits, On-site role in Nottingham city centre.
