We are recruiting a Financial Controller for an established business based in Mansfield. This is a broad and visible role, responsible for leading the day-to-day financial management of the business and ensuring senior leaders have accurate, timely and meaningful financial information. Working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team, you will oversee the delivery of management reporting, maintain a strong financial control environment and help improve the way financial information is produced and communicated across the business. The role will also involve managing and developing a Management Accountant.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting
- Reviewing performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
- Providing clear financial commentary and insight to the CFO and wider business
- Business partnering with teams across the organisation to improve financial understanding
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and ways of working
- Streamlining reporting and helping to reduce the month-end timetable
- Improving the efficiency and consistency of financial processes
- Supporting the implementation of new controls and reporting improvements
- Supporting year-end reporting and audit requirements
- Managing, supporting and developing the Management Accountant
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support across the business
