Distinct is supporting a Nottingham Service business recruit Finance Analyst to support the Commercial Finance team for a 6-month contract. The role will deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and operational support across the business and would be ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting financial decision-making in a regulated environment. With offices in Nottingham, they offer hybrid - 2 days from the office. You must have financial services industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Provide detailed P&L cost centre analysis to support budget holders with cost monitoring and reduction strategies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of annual budgets, forecasts, and corporate plans.
- Support finance operations with daily processing tasks and journal preparation for month-end
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve finance-related queries and provide ongoing support
- Liaise with external stakeholders and third parties regarding banking and financial matters.
- Participate in finance-related projects and systems implementations to enhance efficiency
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, FCA Conduct Rules, and AML regulations
- Promote a strong risk awareness culture and ensure effective control environments
