Interim AR Transformation Specialist | Derbyshire | 6-Month FTC or Temporary | Hybrid

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable or Credit professional who enjoys getting under the skin of processes, identifying what is not working and finding better ways of doing things? This could be a great interim opportunity if you are looking for something more interesting than a traditional Credit Control role. The business is continuing to embed changes within its Finance function following a recent systems implementation, and they are looking for an Interim AR Transformation Specialist to provide hands‑on support with process improvement, problem solving and the ongoing development of the Accounts Receivable function.

• Get involved in the review and improvement of existing AR processes
• Identify inefficiencies, recurring issues and areas where processes could work better
• Investigate problems and understand the root cause rather than simply fixing the immediate issue
• Help develop practical solutions and embed improved ways of working
• Support the Finance team as they continue to adapt to new systems and processes
• Become a key point of knowledge for AR-related processes and queries
• Work with different stakeholders to understand issues and find workable solutions
• Use your existing Credit Control / AR experience in a much broader, more project‑focused environment
• Make a tangible difference to how the AR function operates

This would suit someone who enjoys improving things, solving problems and challenging the way processes are currently being done.

The role will involve:

• Reviewing existing Accounts Receivable processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Investigating discrepancies, process issues and recurring problems
• Supporting the continued bedding‑in of Finance system changes
• Reviewing invoicing and AR processes and identifying where improvements can be made
• Working with stakeholders to understand problems and develop solutions
• Supporting process documentation and improved ways of working
• Using Excel and data to identify trends, issues and opportunities
• Helping colleagues understand improved processes and ways of working
• Taking ownership of specific AR improvement activity and seeing it through to completion
• Supporting the wider Finance team with ad hoc process and systems‑related queries

About you

You will ideally have a strong background in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or transactional Finance, combined with an interest in systems, processes and continuous improvement.

You will be someone who:

• Has strong practical AR / Credit Control experienc
• Enjoys investigating problems and finding the reason behind them
• Has experience of improving processes or working through system/process changes
• Is confident working with data and Excel
• Can identify inefficiencies and suggest practical solutions
• Is comfortable working with different stakeholders
• Picks up new systems and processes quickly
• Is naturally curious and willing to challenge existing ways of working
• Can work independently and take ownership of project activity
• Is happy working in a hands‑on interim role where priorities may evolve
• You do not need to have managed a team. What matters more is your ability to understand a process, identify what needs to change and help make that change happen.

Logistics

• Location: Derbyshire
• Contract: 6-month FTC or temporary
• Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 from home
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Working arrangements: Flexi-time
• Start: Ideally within 1–2 weeks
