Leicestershire Hybrid working, 3 days in the office

£55,000 to £60,000 + £7,000 car allowance + benefits

This sits within a well established, operationally focused business with a strong UK presence. There's been a recent shift in the senior finance team and a clear move to bring finance closer to the day to day running of the business. It's not about producing numbers after the fact. It's about being in the business, influencing decisions, and driving performance where it actually matters.

You will be reporting into an experienced Financial Controller who understands the business well and gives you the space to get on with it. It could suit someone already in a Finance Business Partner role looking for a new opportunity, or a Management Accountant who has started to get involved in partnering and wants something more operational and visible.

The role

  • Finance Business Partner aligned to a small group of operational areas
  • Part of a newly shaped team with clear progression and support
  • Working closely with operational leaders across different parts of the business

What you'll be doing

  • Business partnering with operational leadership to drive performance
  • Owning P&L and balance sheet for your area, not just reviewing it
  • Budgeting and forecasting linked to what's actually happening in the business
  • Supporting investment decisions and building business cases
  • Challenging costs, improving efficiency and asking the right questions
  • Building relationships across the business and being visible where it matters

This is a proper partnering role. They are not looking for someone to sit behind a spreadsheet. They want someone curious, someone who pushes back, someone who gets into the detail and understands how things really work.

Background

  • Qualified or very close to qualification, ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Experience in an operational environment would be beneficial
  • Manufacturing experience, or experience in a similar hands on operational business, would also be useful
  • Strong grounding in reporting, forecasting and commercial insight

Package

  • £55,000 to £60,000 salary
  • £7,000 car allowance
  • 3x death in service
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Hybrid working

Location

Leicestershire

Process

  • Initial Teams interview
  • On site interview with senior finance leadership

If you want a role where you're actually part of the business rather than reporting on it after the event, this is worth a look. Apply with your CV and I'll run you through it properly.
