Distinct is currently supporting a global Service business in its search for an Interim Finance Manager. This position offers an immediate start and will be based at their Swindon site (hybrid offered). This role can be full or part-time (4 days per week).
This is a hands-on, operationally focused role, ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working closely with senior operational stakeholders. Reporting into the Finance Business Partner, the Interim Finance Manager will take responsibility for the on-site finance function at Swindon.
You will play a key role in ensuring stability within the finance team during a period of change, while delivering high-quality financial reporting and insight to support operational decision-making. You will have overall ownership of financial reconciliations, including resolving historical issues, and will support and oversee the year-end close process. You will also manage budget processes, with a particularly busy period expected in mid-February.
Providing accurate, timely financial data to support operational and commercial decisions will be a key part of the role. In this position, you will act as a Finance Business Partner to various operational leads. You will be expected to deep-dive into cost challenges, identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities, and translate financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
From a leadership perspective, you will lead, support, and develop the on-site finance team, providing stability, guidance, and a supportive approach.
