Most Financial Controller roles involve stepping into an established finance function and keeping things ticking over.
This one has a bit more to it.
You’ll be joining a well-established SME that is going through a period of improvement, investment and change.
The business is now looking for a strong Financial Controller who can take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, improve reporting and controls and help develop finance alongside the wider business.
You’ll report into an experienced fractional CFO , giving you plenty of exposure to the wider financial and commercial agenda while taking real ownership of the finance function day to day.
The role
This is a broad, hands-on Financial Controller position with responsibility for:
Month-end and management accounts
Balance sheet controls and reconciliations
Cash flow and working capital
Budgeting and forecasting
Margin, stock and profitability analysis
Management and development of the finance team
Improving financial processes and controls
Business partnering across Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Operations and Engineering
There is also a significant systems project underway, with the business implementing a new ERP system.
You’ll play an important role in that project, helping shape processes, improve reporting, support testing and reduce some of the manual work currently sitting within finance.
