  • Lead and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving issues
  • Support month-end close activities across the Group
  • Support the Group consolidation process and year-end financial reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, including supporting notes and disclosures
  • Provide support with dilapidation accounting and associated calculations
  • Take ownership of issues and proactively drive them through to resolution
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team, providing additional capacity during a particularly busy reporting period

About You

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA – with relevant post-qualified experience
  • Strong technical financial accounting and reporting background
  • Previous experience supporting year-end and external audit processes
  • Confident with balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Experience of Group reporting and consolidation would be highly advantageous
  • IFRS 16 experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience within a complex, fast-paced organisation, ideally retail, multi-site or another high-volume environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Able to learn quickly, prioritise effectively and deliver to tight deadlines
