This position is part time - 20 hours per week, the working days and hours can be flexible; this would be discussed at interview stage. Friday working is essential in the role.

What you will do as Purchase Ledger Assistant:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the purchase ledger and wider finance function. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounts processing, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the finance team where required. This role requires strong numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own workload effectively while working to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices and credit notes using Epicor
  • Investigating and resolving supplier queries
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and clearing GRNI
  • Filing, printing, and batching invoices
  • Supporting general purchase ledger administration
  • Assisting the Purchase Ledger Clerk with ad-hoc finance tasks
  • Providing general support to the finance team as required

  • Experienced in a similar accounts or finance role (essential)
  • A strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Confident using Excel and other IT systems
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Able to learn new systems quickly (training will be provided on Epicor)
  • A clear and professional communicator
