Stock Manager + £35,429 + 33 Days Annual Leave + Career Progression + Growing Market Leading Business! The Company We are working with a market leader who are experiencing significant growth. They have a clear path for future company growth and as such are looking to add a Stock Manager to their team at their brand new 60,000 sq ft Worcester warehouse/depot. You will be joining a team of experienced industry professionals with a chance to progress your career within a growing business with an excellent brand reputation. The Role The Stock Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory and stock processes within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations, high levels of accuracy, and the effective management of a dedicated team at the new Worcester depot. Key Responsibilities * Team Management: Manage and supervise the stock team, delegating daily tasks and ensuring they are completed effectively and efficiently. Provide training and guidance to team members, set performance goals, and monitor performance to ensure high standards. * Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members. * Budget Management: Support the management of the stock budget, optimizing procurement, minimizing waste, and ensuring cost-effective practices. * Stock Location Management: Manage the locations where stock is stored and ensure the system is updated accordingly. * Cycle Count Investigation: Investigate and correct the results of all cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels. * Stock Queries Resolution: Address stock queries efficiently and promptly to support achieving the customer service levels of the Warehouse Team. * Cycle Count Checks: Perform cycle count checks to ensure stock accuracy. * System Integrity: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Warehouse Management System (WMS). * Control Measures: Manage control measures to track mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies, ensuring they are recorded and signed off. * Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are fully maintained and followed. * General Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment. What We Are Looking For As the Stock Manager you will ideally you will be/have: * Proven experience of stock management in a logistics or warehouse environment. * Proven experience managing a team and overseeing daily operations. * PC literate with excellent Excel skills (preferable). * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. * Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. * Knowledge of stock management systems and Warehouse Management System (WMS). * Keen eye for detail; accuracy and quality are as important as speed in this role. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Experience with MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) is preferred, but full training will be provided.
