We are working with an established ecommerce and wholesale retailer who are entering a period of growth and change. With exciting future plans ahead, our client is looking to add an IT Systems Administrator to their team due to company expansion. This is a new role within the organisation, giving a chance to add real value to the wider IT function.

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, security, and performance of the organisation’s IT infrastructure across UK sites. This role operates under the direction of the Head of IT and is accountable for maintaining a secure, stable, and well-managed technology estate. This is a hands-on technical role with responsibility across infrastructure, cyber security, integrations, and user support.

General day to day responsibilities include:

  • Integrations & Systems: Support REST APIs, webhooks, SSO integrations; Secure management of credentials and service accounts
  • Infrastructure & Operations: Maintain Windows Server environments (2022/2025); Manage Azure cloud services and virtual networks; Monitor system performance and uptime; Proactively resolve infrastructure issues
  • Cyber Security & Access Control: Administer Microsoft Entra ID / Azure; Manage CrowdStrike, WatchGuard, Barracuda; Enforce security policies and least privilege access; Support audits and security reviews
  • End User & Device Management: Deploy and manage Windows and macOS devices; Provide 1st/2nd line support; Manage helpdesk tickets within SLAs
  • Networking: Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi environments; Maintain switches, routers, firewalls

The IT Systems Administrator will ideally have experience in a similar role and be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders. Ideally the candidate will have/be:

  • Experience with data/systems integration - REST APIs and JSON (essential)
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune)
  • Knowledge of Azure services
  • PowerShell experience (desirable)
  • Networking and infrastructure knowledge
  • Endpoint management (Windows & macOS)
  • Cyber security and access control experience
  • Full UK Driving license required
  • Hands-on problem solver
  • Able to work independently within structure & Strong communication skills

The IT Systems Administrator will receive a competitive basic salary of £35,000-£40,000. You will be joining a business in growth mode, with exciting future expansion opportunities. In addition, you will receive:
