My client, a well-established manufacturer based in Leeds, is looking for a Service Coordinator to add to their team. This is a key role supporting service operations, ensuring customers receive a seamless and professional experience from initial enquiry through to resolution.

Responsibilities as the Service Coordinator:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, and video
  • Coordinate service requests, engineer schedules, and job updates
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions within the CRM system
  • Prepare quotes for repairs, breakdowns, and equipment upgrades
  • Liaise with internal teams including engineering, logistics, and procurement
  • Monitor job progress and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Build strong relationships with customers to support repeat business
  • Support continuous improvement of service processes and workflows
  • Refer to and interpret engineering drawings
  • Prepare RAMS for site visits
  • Assist field service engineers with technical queries and troubleshooting

Experience as a Service Coordinator:

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical is desirable but advantageous)
  • Strong technical administration skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Excel (Hubspot or Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment

Desirable experience as the Service Coordinator:

  • Knowledge of spare parts management and service planning
  • Familiarity with SOPS
  • Experience with steam systems, pressure vessels, and capital equipment is highly desirable
  • Experience with LEAN methodologies or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Multilingual would be an advantage
