My client, a well-established manufacturer based in Leeds, is looking for a Service Coordinator to add to their team. This is a key role supporting service operations, ensuring customers receive a seamless and professional experience from initial enquiry through to resolution.
Responsibilities as the Service Coordinator:
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, and video
- Coordinate service requests, engineer schedules, and job updates
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions within the CRM system
- Prepare quotes for repairs, breakdowns, and equipment upgrades
- Liaise with internal teams including engineering, logistics, and procurement
- Monitor job progress and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Build strong relationships with customers to support repeat business
- Support continuous improvement of service processes and workflows
- Refer to and interpret engineering drawings
- Prepare RAMS for site visits
- Assist field service engineers with technical queries and troubleshooting
Experience as a Service Coordinator:
- Background in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical is desirable but advantageous)
- Strong technical administration skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Excel (Hubspot or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
Desirable experience as the Service Coordinator:
- Knowledge of spare parts management and service planning
- Familiarity with SOPS
- Experience with steam systems, pressure vessels, and capital equipment is highly desirable
- Experience with LEAN methodologies or continuous improvement initiatives
- Multilingual would be an advantage
