Manufacturing Technician + £35-38k + Days Monday - Friday (Lunch time finish on Friday) + 33 days holiday (inc BH) Our client based in Audenshaw are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join them on a permanent basis. will be responsible for planning, coordinating and optimising production processes to ensure efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, production systems and process improvement. Manufacturing Technician duties: * Design, implement and improve manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling. * Design jigs and fixtures to improve production efficiency and quality improvements. * Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. * Support new product introductions by developing production methods and omptimising assembly processes. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards (ISO, OSHA, etc) * Collaborate with design, quality and supply chain teams to resolve production issues. * Prepare technical documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures (Sops) * Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and process inefficiencies. * Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and requirements for the successful Manufacturing Technician: * Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field * 2-5 years of experience in production, manufacturing or process engineering. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, crimpring, assembly etc) * Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems an production planning tools * Knowledge of lean, six sigma and quality control methodologies * Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities * Strong communication and team work skills * Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
