This position is part time – 20 hours per week, the working days and hours can be flexible; this would be discussed at interview stage. Friday working is essential in the role. What you will do as Purchase Ledger Assistant:
- The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the purchase ledger and wider finance function.
- You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounts processing, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the finance team where required.
- This role requires strong numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own workload effectively while working to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices and credit notes using Epicor.
- Investigating and resolving supplier queries.
- Supplier statement reconciliations and clearing GRNI.
- Filing, printing, and batching invoices.
- Supporting general purchase ledger administration.
- Assisting the Purchase Ledger Clerk with ad-hoc finance tasks.
- Providing general support to the finance team as required.
What we are looking for:
- Experienced in a similar accounts or finance role (essential).
- A strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Confident using Excel and other IT systems.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Able to learn new systems quickly (training will be provided on Epicor).
- A clear and professional communicator.
