Our client, a well-established Building Services Consultancy within the engineering sector based in Greenford, is looking for a HR Advisor to join their growing team.

The role:

  • Generalist HR requirements
  • Advisory and support on Employment Relations issues, including absence, disciplinary, performance, long-term sickness, exit interviews, and grievance issues; attend hearings in the capacity of an adviser/note taker
  • Supporting managers with the management of ER Cases through advice and coaching, ensuring each approach is pragmatic and within an acceptable level of business risk
  • Advice on Employment Law, working arrangements, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation, ensuring the company is consistent and fair, meeting contractual and legal requirements
  • Liaising, supporting and covering with HR Admin to include completing contracts, offer letters, references and change of details forms, starters, leavers, holidays and redundancy calculations
  • Undertake specific HR Projects as required

What we are looking for in a HR Advisor:

  • At least 3/4 years experience in a HR Role
  • CIPD qualification or similar is desirable
  • Experience dealing with grievances, absence and disciplinaries
  • Experience of operating in a complex, commercial and multi-divisional organization
  • Solid and up-to-date knowledge of practical HR principles and practices as well as employment legislation
  • Track record of operating as a HR Generalist ideally with good business partnering experience
  • Proficient IT skills, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots and Vlookup)
  • Willing to travel to other offices as and when required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player that can work under pressure
