Are you an experienced Pipefitter Welder looking for a varied field-based role where no two days are the same?

We're looking for a qualified Coded TIG Welder to join our growing UK Service Team, supporting the installation, fabrication, commissioning and servicing of high-quality hydraulic systems across customer sites nationwide.

Based from our Leeds facility, you'll travel throughout the UK delivering first-class engineering solutions on industrial projects while enjoying an excellent work-life balance with a 36-hour working week, outstanding benefits and genuine career development opportunities.

The Role

As a Field Service Pipefitter/Welder, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, installation, welding and commissioning of hydraulic pipework systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards.

Working both independently and alongside customers, contractors and internal engineering teams, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installations and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, install and fit hydraulic pipework on customer sites throughout the UK.
  • Carry out coded TIG welding on carbon and stainless steel pipework.
  • Perform pipe bending, fabrication and installation to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out hydraulic flushing, cleaning and contamination control activities.
  • Pressure test systems and carry out leak detection and rectification.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, isometrics and P&IDs.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure installation work meets company quality standards.
  • Produce accurate service reports and commissioning documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Work closely with customers, providing technical support and maintaining excellent working relationships.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain exceptional installation quality.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • A recognised Coded TIG Welding qualification (essential).
  • At least 3 years' experience in pipefitting and welding within industrial, hydraulic, process or heavy engineering environments.
  • Strong experience fabricating and installing small-bore pipework.
  • Experience working on hydraulic systems, industrial pipework or process plant.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping schematics.
  • Excellent fabrication, installation and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working on customer sites across the UK.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Hydraulic system flushing and commissioning experience.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing procedures.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors or installation teams.
  • Previous experience within heavy engineering, power generation, steel, defence, process plant or capital equipment industries.
