Our client, a well-established Building Services Consultancy within the engineering sector based in Greenford, is looking for a HR Advisor to join their growing team.
The role:
- Generalist HR requirements
- Advisory and support on Employment Relations issues, including absence, disciplinary, performance, long-term sickness, exit interviews, and grievance issues. Attend hearings in the capacity of an adviser/note taker.
- Supporting managers with the management of ER Cases through advice and coaching, ensuring each approach is pragmatic and within an acceptable level of business risk.
- Advice on Employment Law, working arrangements, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation, ensuring the company is consistent and fair, meeting contractual and legal requirements.
- Liaising, supporting and covering with HR Admin to include completing contracts, offer letters, references, change of details forms, starters, leavers, holidays, and redundancy calculations.
- Undertake specific HR Projects as required.
What we are looking for in a HR Advisor:
- At least 3-4 years experience in a HR Role.
- CIPD qualification or similar is desirable.
- Experience dealing with grievances, absence, and disciplinaries.
- Experience of operating in a complex, commercial, and multi-divisional organization.
- Solid and up-to-date knowledge of practical HR principles and practices as well as employment legislation.
- Track record of operating as a HR Generalist, ideally with good business partnering experience.
- Proficient IT skills, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots and Vlookup).
- Willing to travel to other offices as and when required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player that can work under pressure.
