We are working with a market leader who is experiencing significant growth. They have some exciting future growth plans and are looking to add a Finance Analyst to their team.

You will be joining an international team of experienced industry professionals to work within a leading business in the manufacturing industry. The company can provide a realistic career growth path for the right individual.

The Role

Working within the finance function, the Finance Analyst will support the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. You will assist in maintaining records of the organization’s financial activity in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards. This includes creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use and completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determines and implements cost-accounting procedures and methods.
  • Preparing and analyzing cost reports and costing audits.
  • Examining and reviewing unusual cost records and ensuring cost data is allocated correctly.
  • Reviewing and updating standard costs on a regular basis, setting up standard costs for new products.
  • Performing accounting for price variances and overhead recovery on a regular basis.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Assisting with quarterly SOX testing.
  • Assisting with the ABC costing model and year-end standards update.

What We Are Looking For

The Finance Analyst will be an ambitious individual who will ideally have gained exposure to a similar role in a professional capacity. Ideally you will be/have:

  • Previous experience within a financially analytical role.
  • Highly numerate with excellent problem-solving and computer skills.
  • Methodical approach to detailed information with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Accounting experience.
  • Previous experience of working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A relevant accountancy qualification (AAT etc) would also be beneficial but not essential.
