We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our clients' equipment and systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, travelling to various locations to ensure optimal operation of our products and solutions. The ideal applicant will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer service.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with infrequent weekend overtime available. This role is a nationwide “on the road” position, meaning there may be time spent away from home. When working away from home is required, this will be carefully managed to ensure a good work-life balance.
Job Overview:
- Conduct installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify issues and implement solutions
- Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Document service activities, including service reports and parts usage
- Collaborate with the engineering and office team to provide feedback on product performance and remedial actions
Experience Required:
- Electrical engineering qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
- Proven experience in field service engineering or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams and system manuals
- Strong electrical knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and control systems
- Outstanding communication skills and customer-oriented approach
